Methane isotopes (δ13C) and Ethane-to-Methane ratio

Picarro analyzers, specifically the G2210-i, are used to measure both methane isotopes (δ¹³C) and the ethane-to-methane ratio (C₂H₆/CH₄).These measurements are crucial for identifying and quantifying methane emission sources. The δ¹³C value helps differentiate between biogenic and thermogenic sources of methane, while the C₂H₆/CH₄ ratio is particularly useful in distinguishing between natural gas and biological sources.

Improving water use efficiency

A Picarro L2140-i cavity ring-down spectrometer was operated with the following configuration: an A0325 liquid autosampler for injection into an A0211 vaporizer coupled to an A0214 micro-combustion module (MCM) which itself was coupled to the L2140-i. The L2140-i and the A0211 both utilized A2000 diaphragm vacuum pumps (Vacuubrand no. MD1). The autosampler was equipped with […]

Semiconductor Real-time AMC Monitoring for the Process Floor

The Picarro SAM-S and SAM-C AMC Monitoring Systems integrate Picarro’s industry leading cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) analyzers into a high-performance sampling system. Traditional sampler designs degrade individual analyzer performance through the use of a linear manifold which limits the gas flow rate to each analyzer. As a result, traditional samplers relegate analyzer performance to the […]

Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) Gas Concentration Analyzer

Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) is a naturally occurring chemical compound composed of a pair of covalently single bonded oxygen atoms each bonded to a hydrogen atom. Hydrogen peroxide is colorless and is commercially used in both liquid and vaporized form. It is naturally involved in organism functions, such as mitochondrial respiration, and is naturally found in […]

Combustion Module-CRDS

The Combustion Module (A0201), designed for Picarro by Costech Analytical (NC Technologies), combusts solid and liquid samples with carbon contents as low as 250 µg. When paired with a Picarro isotopic analyzer (e.g. G2131-i), the Picarro Combustion Module CM-CRDS (A0201) system analyzes the carbon isotopic (δ13C) composition of samples in applications such as food authenticity […]
